A public coroner's inquest has been scheduled into a police shooting incident that resulted in the death of Brendon Samuel Beddow of Surrey.  he 23 year old died March 23rd 2011, following an incident with Mounties.  RCMP were called to a report of a domestic dispute in the Crescent Beach area.   Beddow was shot shortly after 2 officers arrived on scene and were confronted by a man.   Witnesses reported seeing police performing CPR on the man  who was flown to hospital by helicopter - however he later died.  The inquest will run from July 15th to 19th in Coroners Court in Burnaby.  Coroner's juries cannot make findings of legal responsibility, however can make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths down the road.
