North Korea has issued a threat to cancel the 1953 armistice that
ended the Korean War.
The People's Army Supreme Command made the statement today amid
reports Washington and North Korean ally China have approved a draft
of punishing sanctions.
The 1953 armistice ended the fighting -- but left the region
technically in a state of war.
