Barriere Shooting Victim Dies

61 year old woman may have been victim of accidental shooting

    A tragic ending to a story out of Barriere. A 61 year old woman shot near that community Monday afternoon has died of her injuries.    The shooting happened at a residence on Barriere LakesRoad around 3:40 pm.  She was taken by ambulance to the Barriere Health Centre where she was pronounced dead.  The coroner's office and the South East District Major Crime unit are currently investigating the details surrounding the death of the woman.  Meanwhile, people in Barriere were shocked and saddened by the shooting death.     An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday.  The name of the victim will be released once next of kin have been notified.
